Trendy bar and restaurant just off the Champs-Elysées (and the Louis Vuitton flagship store), Bound used to be known as the B*fly, and has the same owners as the Buddha Bar, Barrio Latino, and Barlotti, to give you an idea of the formula: stylish décor, electro lounge music, expensive food and drinks, and a beautiful (somewhat snobbish) crowd that might either be tourists or locals, depending on the day. Bound has a “glam rock” décor with metallic pink leather chairs, huge plasma screens showing contemporary art scenes, and Venetian chandeliers.

The brunch buffet on the pink bar.
I went to Bound for drinks one night, and then back again a few weeks ago for Sunday brunch (noon-4pm). The buffet was huge, with everything from English muffins and fresh juice to mini pizzas and bacon and eggs. There’s even a sushi bar in the back. Perfect for huge appetites (at €38, you better be hungry!) and large groups – there are gigantic square booths that sit about 12 comfortably.
The big booths.
The regular menu has, in addition to the Sushi Bar, a Franco-Japanese mix of dishes that will run you about €75 à la carte (menus from €38 to €83).
So how is the food? Perfectly fine, if a tad overpriced. But then again, you’re paying for the chance to check out the latest Parisian fashions (on actual Parisians), not a gourmet experience!
