This is a great hotel if you want to be in the posh fashion and art gallery district near the Champs Elysées, but still want to stay in a funky boutique hotel.
Rooms
The 123 uses brick, marble, rough concrete and wood mixed with leather, feathers, Swarovski crystals and fiber-optic fairy lights for a genuinely cozy atmosphere. Fabrics and framed prints evoke the Parisian couture fashion of the Faubourg St-Honoré. Rooms are mostly neutral in color with dark brown and touches of pink and purple. Bathroom walls are covered in retro papers and closets have satin fringe curtains instead of doors. Free Wifi accessible in each room, air conditioning and safes. Be sure to request a room facing the inner courtyard if you're a light sleeper, as the noise from the street can be heard.
Facilities
The hotel has 41 rooms and suites, free Wifi throughout, and parking is available (fee). A large bar lounge with windows overlooks the Rue du Faubourg St-Honoré. It's very pretty with dark wood furniture, hot pink uphostered touches, and a canopy of Swarovski crystals over the bar. Many locals and workers from nearby galleries and offices come into the bar after work.
Neighborhood
This is a couture shopping street in quite a posh district of art galleries, government buildings (including the Presidential Palais Elysée), and offices. There are two metros within a few minutes' walk, and you can also stroll to the Champs Elysées and the Jacquemart-André Museum. The downside of this neighborhood is the lack of budget dining and food markets, and it can feel a bit lacking in warmth.
Rates
Internet rates are as low as €210/double.
